Yes and no, you can get gates that operate off solar power and they do work providing the gates are not used extensively, as a general rule here in \u201csunny Ohio\u201d a gate can open and close up to 30 times a day before the battery loses charge, you are also limited to the accessories you want for the gate as they will drain power.<\/span><\/p>

Generally no, you do not. We are able to troubleshoot most problems at the gate location without needing access inside your home.
